Marzano Lesson

We are right in the middle of the Civil War. Leading up to this discussion, we need to organize lots of information. We need to compare and contrast the North and the South. We need to learn about the different movements happening in the 1850's. (women's rights, abolition etc)

I have found that using graphic organizers is vital in helping my little 8th graders to understand.

A nice "T" chart to look at the similarities and differences of the North and South.

A "venn diagram" to help see the strengths and weaknesses of both sides.

Another graphic organizer to keep track of leaders in the Women's movement, abolition movement and Art/Literature Movement.

Graphic Organizers allow students to visually see the connection between different topics.

This helps the visual learners- great tool for your ESL students and needs with special needs.

GO- G.O.
