Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God

Beware - the Devil is REAL!!!

Not all Christian faiths believe God and Satan to be actually, phsical beings. The firm belief that their is a physical God means there is also a physical Devil. Ewards talks of a Devil just as powerful and anxious as God. This creeps the hell out of me.

    The whole angry God thing creeps me out! I don't want a God who is always looking for vengence.

    I don't He is like that; but rather, One who is always reaching out to us, guiding, forgiving, listening, hoping, and fighting for our welfare. I agree with you about their conception of God; very distorted and scary.

    :) thank you for your honest post. I agree completely. I study excerpts of this sermon with my students (mostly for the imagery) but we end up discussing the voice and the feelings it gives us. How can you not???
